The "overview" mode where the game freezes and you jump out of your bady is very cool, helpful, but not so much that everything is given away. Spend too long thinking and they will advance and take all the cover. Give them an opening and they'll take it. Conscripts are pretty easy to kill, but the regular infantry is tenacious and deadly. The Germans know about the flanking and will often send someone to stop you depending on the quality of the troops. In regards to ChrisG's comments, psoitioning your sqaud is pretty tough sometimes as you usually have less to work with than the Germans. There is very little "game" stuff (health bars and such) on screen all the time. AI seems pretty good so far, on both sides. Best character models and animation ever. The save system is till checkpoint, but they are close enough so as not to piss you off. You have the choice of reticle or not, and hints and "enemy marks" or not. Nice chunky weapon sounds, and the weapons are not too accurate. Ammo is scarce for you, so protracted standoffs are a no-no too. The maps are HARD as they require squad tactics. I mean you know the guys on the ground then weren't saying "cripes!" The squad control works as advertised and is very cool. Many will read that as "yay, foul language!" and not care but it really helps the immersion factor. The dialog is awesome, not dumbed down or sanitized at all.
